He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toledo, and a Master’s degree from Bowling Green State University. He and his wife split their time between Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Sarasota, Florida. He is a father, a step-father, an adoptive father, a foster father, and a grandfather.
