Shawn Premer

Shawn is responsible for providing leadership in establishing and implementing strategic human resource strategies. Shawn’s primary focus is on employee and member engagement. Consumers is proud of its 98% member satisfaction rate, it’s over 12 years of recognition as one of West Michigan’s 101 Best & Brightest Companies and 5 years of being recognized Nationally as a 101 Best & Brightest Company! Shawn holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Northwood University and an MBA with a focus in Global Business Studies from Cornerstone University. Shawn also holds SPHR, SHRM-SCP, and Certified Corporate Wellness Specialist (CCWS) certifications.
A wife of 25 years and a mother of three, Shawn is also an avid runner and yogi. In 2016 she was honored as Michigan’s Top HR Professional by the Michigan Council of SHRM. She also serves as the Immediate Past Director of the Michigan Chapter of Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), the board of Southwest Michigan First, the advisory board for Kalamazoo Valley Community College’s Groves Facility and the board of Senior Services of Southwest Michigan. In addition to the organizations listed above Shawn also founded and chairs the Kalamazoo Area Wellness Networking group, which includes over 20 area organizations who come together to share wellness best practices.
Tim Fatum
Owner Envision Strategic Solutions LLCTim Fatum is the owner of Envision Strategic Solutions LLC and has an extensive background in sales, all aspects of human resources, business development, business/financial acumen, and more. Much of this experience has come from serving over 28 years with Gordon Food Service. This experience has given Tim the expertise needed to help organizations achieve sustained high performance.

- Key Systems and Programs Developed Include: Employment branding, direct relationship strategy, retention strategies, continuous improvement programs, workforce planning, HR business partner model, compensation policies, benefits programs and design, hiring structure and processes, development and succession planning, exit survey process, and more.
- Lead the HR Shared Service teams for US business units. Liaison between divisional HR Directors and the Shared Services teams.

Susan Culhane
Sales and Development Manager for the Employee Benefits Team Nulty InsuranceSusan is the Sales and Development Manager for the Employee Benefits Team at Nulty Insurance. She has been on the Nulty Insurance management team since 2000. Susan has many years of experience in the Human Resources and Employee Benefits areas. She is a graduate of Western Michigan University. She has both the Professional of Human Resources (PHR) designation, and Society of Human Resource Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) designation. She is also a licensed health and life producer with the State of Michigan and is a Licensed Insurance Counselor (LIC), licensed Accident and Health Insurance Counselor (AHIC) as well as a Certified Wellness Benefit Advisor (CWBA).
Her experience in the Human Resources area provides her a unique opportunity to relate to clients on how important it is to tie their practices and policies with their benefit programs. Since she has the experience of sitting on both sides of the table when buying insurance programs, she understands the challenge and purpose of creating a benefit program that is cost effective but also can meet the short- and long-term goals of the organization. Susan has presented many seminars over the past years on a wide range of Human Resources and Employee Benefit topics.
Susan works with her clients as the producer/risk manager and oversees the management of their account. She collaborates with her clients throughout the year to review and analyze how the plan is performing and create strategies for the future.
Carrie Nicholson
HR & Benefits Compliance Advisor Nulty InsuranceCarrie Nicholson, PHR, SHRM-CP, is the HR & Benefits Compliance Advisor with Nulty Insurance. She is a professional with over 25-years of human resources management experience. Her passion is providing HR and employee benefits solutions for her clients by helping them build their infrastructure through people, culture and compliance. In addition, as a certified Gallup StrengthsFinder Coach, Carrie helps individuals and teams recognize and leverage their strengths for greater success.
Carrie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Western Michigan University. She is enthusiastic about volunteering within her community having spent several years on the Board of Directors with Kalamazoo Human Resource Management Association (KHRMA) and holding executive positions on the Council of Michigan Society for Human Resource Management (MISHRM). Additionally, she serves on the Human Resources Committee at Senior Services, Inc. and Kalamazoo Loaves & Fishes.
